The cable room is mainly used for the connection of cables, so that the single-core or three-core cables can be connected with the simplest unshielded cable heads. The ample space can also accommodate components such as arresters, current transformers, and lower grounding switches. The cabinet door features viewing windows and safety interlocks, and the compartment floor is equipped with a sealing cover and a cable clamp with brackets. The front door frame of the cable room floor can be removed to facilitate installation.
RING MAIN UNIT (RMU)
The ring main unit is composed of a bus room, load switch or circuit breaker room, cable room, operating mechanism, and low-voltage control room. Each compartment is divided by a steel plate to avoid failure affecting adjacent rooms. The bus room is arranged in the upper part, with busbars connected horizontally for easy expansion.
The load switch room features a shell made of epoxy resin, filled with SF6 gas for arc extinguishing and insulation. Transparent end covers allow for easy observation of the contact state. The circuit breaker room is equipped with a vacuum or SF6 circuit breaker, capable of handling normal switching and short-circuit current breaking. The vacuum circuit breaker is ideal for frequent operations with its reliable spring-operating mechanism.
